Aeronoms Releases Depati Amir Airport for MSFS
Aeronoms has recently released their rendition of Depati Amir Airport (WIKK) for Microsoft Flight Simulator, serving the city of Pangkal Pinang with a yearly average of 2 million passengers.
The airport was built in the 1940s as a small airfield for military purposes, but in 1978 it was officially opened for commercial use. Over the years, the airport underwent several expansions and upgrades, including the extension of the runway and the construction of a new terminal building in 2014.
The new passenger terminal was inaugurated in 2017, increasing the passenger handling capacity from 350,000 to 1.5 million.
It’s served by Batik Air (Jakarta-Soekarno-Hatta), Citilink (Jakarta-Soekarno-Hatta), Garuda Indonesia (Jakarta-Soekarno-Hatta), Lion Air (Jakarta-Soekarno-Hatta, Palembang, and Tanjung Pandan), NAM Air (Jakarta-Soekarno-Hatta, and Tanjung Pandan), Sriwijaya Air (Jakarta-Soekarno-Hatta, Palembang, and Tanjung Pandan), Susi Air (Dabo), and Wings Air (Batam and Tanjung Pandan).
The scenery features an accurate rendition of the airport, with custom ground textures, a terminal interior, and a custom GSX profile.
It’s available on SimMarket for roughly $12.16, requiring at least 115.53 MB of free hard disk space. The developer alerts for a potentially longer loading time (or even CTDs) during the first load of the scenery.
