Just Flight Release Real Taxiways Europe for Microsoft Flight Simulator by BlackSquare
Earlier this week, JustFlight released Real Taxiways Europe for Microsoft Flight Simulator, an add-on developed by Black Square. Designed by “real-world aviation professionals”, the plugin will introduce accurate and easy-to-read signs that are appropriately placed in European airports and promote great improvements to the simulator’s level of immersion.
According to the developer, Real Taxiways Europe was created to solve the issue where the default MSFS scenery often includes mislabeled, misplaced, and/or hard-to-read airport signage that directly affects a users' ability to follow ATC instructions and navigate the taxiways. The addon, bringing some “41,500 taxiway signs” to more than 1,165 airports in most European countries, will feature 15 types of signs with realistic names, sizes, placement, and variations, as well as “personalities”.
The plugin will also enhance the reliability of the signs from the cockpit while eliminating scenarios where signs are blocking taxiways or runways. Furthermore, the developers claim that the plugin will have no performance impact on the simulator and the users can decide which airports to exclude from the effects of the add-on to prevent conflict with already installed sceneries.
Currently, the add-on can be purchased at JustFlight for $39.99 USD. Users can purchase the European edition of the add-on by itself or purchase a bundle containing both the U.S. (class B, C, D, and non-towered airports) as well as European editions at a reduced price of $44.99 USD.
