Boundless Releases Faro Airport for XP11 and XP12

Boundless Designs has recently released their version of Faro Airport for X-Plane 11 and 12. The airport serves the city of Faro in Portugal with a yearly average of 5.97 million passengers.

Opened in 1965, the airport has gone under major changes. It received a new terminal building in 1989, which was expanded upon in 2001. During the 2009 to 2013 period, Faro Airport saw major improvements to the terminal, runway and apron, and infrastructure, as well as adding 8 new aircraft parking spots. The airport has carried the namesake of Gago Coutinho since September 2022, one of the two people who completed the first aerial crossing of the South Atlantic.

Faro serves the region of Algarve in southern Portugal, home to many popular resorts and vacation destinations. Much of the passenger travel comes from the United Kingdom, many of them being tourists going on holiday. Faro has flights from many European carriers, serving almost every major city in Europe. It is a focus city for low-cost carriers Ryanair and EasyJet.

The Boundless rendition of Faro features an accurate airport layout, with custom textures, custom HD ortho imagery, dynamic lighting, full SAM integration with marshallers and VDGS, performance friendly optimizations, and many more features.

It is available now on the Boundless Store for £16.99, or roughly $21.66 USD
