Microsoft Flight Simulator April 30th Development Update
Asobo Studio's Flight Simulator division has remained focused on the core "deliverables" for much of the month of April, though in today's update, they review some other, more community oriented aspects of development.
A small addition at the top of the blog post, the development roadmap is set for a more prominent featuring in the next update, with a refreshed infographic due for the 7th of May.
Next up, three new partners as part of the simulator's Partnership Series. NAVBLUE, Airbus' flight operations software subsidiary brand, is now onboard with Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020, promising in-depth flight planning and operations data. Swiss-based meteorological service Meteoblue also joined the list of partners, with flight tracking website FlightAware rounding out the three new brands in this update.
Lastly for the new information provided in the post, a section on the next SDK update, which is also targeted for May 7th.
The Asobo team rounded out the main blurb with a message to simmers, saying "Though we are all working through a unique and challenging situation, our commitment to deliver the very best Flight Simulation experience in collaboration with the community remains strong.
"Whether posting to the forums, providing Alpha build feedback, commenting on posted screenshots, debating runway undulations, discussing inaccurate reporting, or just keeping up with the latest… thank you. Bringing people together, even if to debate, is a great way of keeping people connected in a time when so many of us are separated from each other. This community that we share together, has been an incredible source of inspiration and motivation to the team.
"Wishing all of you, your family and friends, the very best of health and well-being."
Below that is a list of deliverables due to be showcased in blog posts, information about Alpha Build 1.3.X.X, which is due within 7-10 days and will contain the Boeing 747. Alpha invitations are also addressed. This is the same information as was published in the previous update - for more, see our coverage of that post.
As always, there's a new selection of community screenshots, which have all been spread throughout this article.
