Update: FSFX Packages talk XP, possible release in Q4
Any serious user of Prepar3d should know the name: FSFX Packages. The team develop addons such as Chaseplane (camera system), PrecipitFX and the Immersion series - most, if not all are considered must-haves.
Following the end of FlightSimExpo, Keven from FSFX appeared on TheSkyLounge TV to recap the event.
About an hour into the clip, the conversation turns to X-Plane and its new particle system (find out more about it here). Keven talks about how FSFX have been experimenting with the sim, and that their first XP project will be focused on improving X-Plane's contrails. Here is a transcript of the conversation.
"Sure thing is that, it's the first project we're working on for X-Plane is.. contrails - right? You've got to replace those as soon as possible..... I'm doing this, we're doing this"
These new contrails will be made possible through the new particle system, which allows users/developers access to 400 different parameters surrounding particles - contrails, touchdown effects etc.
He goes on to say that FSFX would like to release this product by the time Flight Sim Show 2018 (Cosford) rolls around in October.
"Its one of the first things I'd like to offer [for X-Plane]"
