IRIS Simulations Updates the Jabiru J160/J170 for MSFS

IRIS simulations have released two updates for the J160/J170 for Microsoft Flight Simulator, bringing the aircraft to version 1.4.0 then 1.4.5 respectively.

Version 1.4, which was released earlier this week, saw a “full rework of flight characteristics based on J160 flight training,” along with other fixes. You can view the version 1.4.0 changelog below.

Version 1.4

  • All aircraft – Full rework of flight characteristics based on J160 flight training.
  • All aircraft – Co-Pilot functionality removed due to stability issues.
  • All aircraft – VR mouse collision framework added to cockpits.
  • All aircraft – Autopilot mode selection timeout increased from 2s to 5s.
  • All aircraft – Autopilot altitude hold improved.
  • All aircraft – Airspeed indicator background more accurate to standard aircraft gauge.
  • J160-D – Aus FlightSimmer scheme added.
  • J160-C – Cockpit layout modified for more reliance on VFR flight.
  • J170-D – Compass Fixed.
  • Misc – J160 loading screen added.

Version 1.4.5 saw a smaller update for the aircraft, with only three changes included. You can view the v1.4.5 changelog below.

Version 1.4.5

  • All aircraft – Engine power output curve refined for more accurate cruise settings.
  • Misc – J160 loading screen removed.
  • Misc – Removed installer for preference to drag and drop install method.
