ShortFinal Design Announces San Francisco Definitive for X-Plane 11
ShortFinal Design has taken to the X-Plane.Org Forum to formally announce the development of a new payware rendition of San Francisco International Airport for X-Plane. Justin “ShortFinal Design” Kissling stated: “Almost seven years ago I started my journey as an X-Plane developer with the first release of KSFO, and I am incredibly excited to revisit this iconic airport once again.” From this statement, we can expect a high-quality airport utilising assets similar to those in the newly updated MisterX Library.
ShortFinal Design (also known for his freeware work under the title MisterX) has been developing high-quality sceneries for X-Plane for almost seven years and in that time has released multiple airports. Under his payware front, he has released Munich, Los Angeles, Salt Lake City as well as Albuquerque. He is also well known for his high-quality freeware sceneries that include Hadokate, Boston V2 and much more.
Along with the announcement came a list of features that Kissling will be including in his rendition of KSFO:
- Accurately modelled terminals with PBR materials and interiors
- Up to date layout and buildings, including the new terminal 1
- Custom SAM jetways
- Detailed night lighting
- 4k ground textures with rain effects
- AI taxi routes
- 15cm/px orthoimagery
In terms of previous releases, Boston Logan International V2 was released at the start of April as a freeware airport showcasing the new MisterX library, you can read more about the release in our previous article.
