After a brief period of silence, AeroDesigns has shared more previews of their upcoming Portland International Jetport.

The previews were shared via a post on the X-Plane.org Forum. The developer states that a lot of work has gone into the ground textures in such a way that it is able “to accurately reflect the real-life apron”.

“Besides that, a lot of work has gone into completing the model of the terminal which is now also fully textured and ready to be used. We tried to make it as detailed as possible while of course keeping in mind the performance impact it has.”

“We think we've found a pretty nice balance between the two”, he says. AeroDesigns have also decided to include an interior for the PWM terminal.

On that same post, the developer states that they have also made a custom mesh for the airport. It is said that this was done to include the hills that are in and around the airport.

A full feature list is included, and is as follows:

  • 3D Terminal and surrounding airport buildings with high-resolution textures and PBR implementation
  • Highly detailed ground textures with PBR
  • High-resolution orthophotos (9cm [per pixel]; .3 foot)
  • Custom accurate mesh created with Ortho4xp patch
  • Full night lighting
  • Landmarks surrounding the airport are included such as the brightly coloured fuel tanks and Veterans Memorial Bridge on approach for 29
  • SAM will be supported with own custom created Jetways
  • WT3 Compatible

The original announcement for the project came in May, stating that there is no decided release date or price. This still seems to be the case.
