Laminar Research Preview Cockpit of new A330
Laminar Research has taken to their social media sites to share a new preview image of the cockpit of their new Airbus A330-300 that will ship with the next generation version of X-Plane.
Today’s tease comes 2 months after Laminar teased the A330 in a video on Youtube showcasing what they have been working on the past few months. This is a part of the Next Generation of X-Plane (likely X-Plane 12) which will include a new lighting engine as well as new trees and forestry.
Also teased in that same video was the exterior of the A330 aircraft, showcasing areas such as the fuselage and exterior lighting. Today’s preview marks the first preview of the cockpit, showing off the main panels such as the PFD and ND, with the addition of a Terrain Radar.
We previously covered Laminar’s initial showcase of the aircraft in a previous article when it was first shared to their YouTube. You can also find our coverage of the new lighting engine we covered when it was first released, and our coverage of their forestry/autogen tease live stream! As of now Laminar has said that this aircraft will be a free aircraft addition in X-Plane’s next major version.
As always Threshold will keep you updated with any news regarding X-Plane’s Next Generation.
