X-Plane Hungary Previews Updated Turbolet Interior
The famous freeware Hungarian X-Plane developers have released previews of their renewed Let-410 Turbolet interior to be included in an upcoming visual update.
Originally started in 2011, the project has seen continuous updates throughout the years. This latest update will focus on the interior visuals enhancing many aspects such as lighting, modelling and texturing.
The cockpit features a new dynamic lighting as well as new textures making use of X-Plane’s PBR.
The amount of 3D cargo in the cabin adapts depending on the payload chosen when loading the aircraft. A new animated separator was placed between the cabin and cockpit and can be opened or closed depending on the cargo.
The developer gave us an insight on future development plans:
"Currently, I’m working on animations, manipulators. Once that’s done, fine-tuning of the flight model for the “experimental flight model”. It’s so much better - you can feel the plane’s weight, you believe you actually sitting in a small turbo-prop plane, which is quite heavy, but since it has huge control surfaces, it’s quite sensitive."
"After that… who knows? FMOD Sounds, VR compatibility, proper librain integration, weather radar… As you can see, there is plenty of stuff on my list, but getting there. Slowly, but steadily."
Development of the Let Turbolet can be followed on the X-Plane Hungary website, to download the aircraft, click here. Garett Yalch reviewed the Let-410 last year as part of our “No Money Monday” series, check out the article.
