Hot off the press is an announcement from our all-time favorite flight-sim developer, Laminar Research!

This aircraft has been present in the beta version of X-Plane 11 for some time, but for those of us who do not prefer to participate in the betas, Laminar have announced today that they will be shipping a brand new aircraft with X-Plane 11.20!

According to the release, the Aerolite 103 is:

"a single seat, high-wing, pusher configuration ultralight aircraft that provides an unparalleled view of your surroundings when used in VR. It has an empty weight of 275 pounds, a maximum speed of 70 miles per hour, and range of 120 statute miles. The real Aerolite is sold as an assembly kit aircraft, but you can save yourself hours of effort with the fully assembled version shipping with X-Plane 11.20."

For those of us GA (and VR!) fliers out there, and those into those aircraft that are less powerful, this is going to be a treat. You can stay tuned to Thresholdx to be the first to know when this aircraft, along with X-Plane 11.20, has its official launch.
