Nimbus Previews Civilian Version of UH-1 with Firefighting Equipment
After the release of their Bell UH-1 Huey helicopter in September 2019, Nimbus Simulations have previewed via a Youtube video a civilian version of the rotorcraft equipped with fire fighting equipment.
The system appears to be fully functional with a working tube loading system and a full-size belly tank. The video also shows a fire retardant being dropped on houses. It may be noted that X-Plane does not yet include the ability to extinguish fires.
Since its first flight in 1956, over 16,000 units were produced and are still now in service all over the world. The aircraft is a single turboshaft that was built to serve as a medical evacuation and utility helicopter.
Nimbus Simulation's Atlanta (KATL) has recently received an important overhaul with many new features such as Autogate and WorldTraffic3 support.
