Orbx Announces Malmo Airport & Releases Dundee for MSFS
Orbx have maintained their extremely high rate of airport production with the announcement of Malmo and release of Dundee airport this week. Both airports are for Microsoft Flight Simulator.
First up chronologically is Malmo, which was announced this Friday. Developed by Marcus Nyberg - who made Orbx's Gothenburg Landvetter scenery - the latest in the Swedish series for MSFS has been completely overhauled from that seen in Prepar3D, with new texture work as well as "a host of new features not previously seen".
"One of the most unique features of the airport is the second runway and adjacent aero clubs - almost a separate GA airfield of sorts. The Sturup Aero Club is situated amongst the maintenance hangars, as well as several flight schools."
"Standing alone on the south side of the secondary runway, the Aero Club in Malmö and South Sweden Flight Academy provide additional facilities for the GA flyer looking to explore the area."
Whilst no feature list is available at this time, more details and previews are expected in the coming week.
Next up came the release of Dundee Airport. Dubbed Scotland's 'Culture Capital', Dundee's Airport lays on the banks of the River Tay and is renowned for it's proximity to the likes of St. Andrews, Gleneagles and Carnoustie golf courses.
The scenery utilises the following features:
- Highly detailed rendition of Dundee airport
- PBR modelling as standard
- Custom ortho
- Custom GSE
- Challenging 4,593ft runway
You can purchase Orbx Dundee for $17.99 AUD via the group's web store.
