Orbx Announces Darrington Municipal for X-Plane
The second of Orbx's Washington airports has just been announced, following that of their first, Anacortes, exactly a week ago.
Darrington Municipal is the next to make the jump from the ESP-platform, which is located in a valley leading up to Glacier Peak.
The announcement was made via the Orbx Forum by product manager Aimee Sanjari, who raved about the modelling of the nearby Darrington town;
"This highly detailed airfield was lovingly crafted to include churches, houses, hangars, buildings and other unique touches, and now this version for X-Plane 11 captures the experience perfectly."
She also included a list of features;
- 30/60cm per pixel imagery
- Airport and town modeled
- Spectacular mountain setting
- Accurate watermasks for the rivers
- Photos taken on location
- 3D modelled ground polygon runways and aprons
- Seamlessly blends into TrueEarth US Washington
The scenery will be made available soon, for AUD $32.95, from OrbxDirect. The developer would like for existing customers to know that a 40% discount is on offer for Prepar3D users of the scenery.
