Orbx Releases Chester Airport for MSFS

Orbx has recently released their rendition of Chester Airport (KSNC) for Microsoft Flight Simulator, a public-use airport serving the city of Chester, Connecticut.

Categorized by the FAA as a general aviation airport, KSNC is privately owned by Whelen Aviation and features a single runway layout with 782 meters of length. 80% of its yearly traffic (2000 data) comprises general aviation aircraft and 20% of air taxi operations, with a total of 20,800 aircraft movements.

As a curious fact, Chester does not have an IATA identifier as ‘SNC’ conflicts with General Ulpiano Paez Airport in Ecuador.

Developed by Matteo Veneziani, an indie, the scenery features an accurate rendition of the airport as it stands, including custom groundpoly with sloped runways and taxiways, conditional display of objects depending on weather and time of the day, and 4K textures with PBR.

It’s available on OrbxDirect for roughly $9.68, requiring at least 2.36 GB of free disk space to install.
