Released: ORBX FTX Central for XP11
One Step Closer to ORBX!
A welcome surprise to many users in the past few hours, as ORBX has released a new updated version of FTX Central, (ORBX's own add-on installation and configuration tool, your one-stop-shop for all of your Orbx products where you can customise your scenery settings to your liking etc).
As we’re all waiting for the official first release by ORBX for the X-Plane platform, the updated FTX Central brought something new to the simulator selection box:
FTX Central now supports X-Plane 11, hinting at a possible scenery or region release. Previous teasers and previews show that the team is working on a port of Meigs Field and a Regional scenery, another airport conversion is in the works and both Meigs and the unannounced airport is in beta testing. Unfortunately, support for Mac and Linux may come later as FTX Central only supports Windows. John Venema, however, mentioned that they may release separate OS specific installers for X-Plane 11 sceneries as to not alienate non-windows x-plane users.
Which will be the first ORBX product you'll get, once it's out?
