Thranda Design has posted a new preview and small status update on their work in progress project, the PC-6 Porter. Alongside designing their own aircraft for X-Plane, like their recently updated Quest Kodiak, Thranda Design is mostly known for converting many ESP Platform aircraft to X-Plane.

Dan Klaue, the owner of Thranda, is the mastermind behind all Just Flight Aircraft for X-Plane, also previously converting Carenado aircraft, although recently parting ways with the company.

The PC-6 Project was announced nearly a year and a half ago now, with the original announcement post on the 24th of August 2018. Since then, updates have been limited, although progress has been made between all previews. Before this post, the last set of previews posted on the project were of the aircraft interior.

Also posted recently, on the 16th of January was a small status update on the project’s progression. The post came after a forum user questioned the project status due to the long radio silence since the previous previews.

Dan wrote:

Definitely not abandoned! I've been pretty deep into the airfoils and flight dynamics.  And others are working on other parts of the plane (textures and logic, etc.).  Lots going on!

The original forum thread for the aircraft is available to find on the X-Plane.org forums.
