Rotate MD-80 Updated to Version 1.43
It has been approximately one-and-a-half years since Rotate last issued an update to their MD-80 aircraft, but the counter has reset to zero today following the release of version 1.43.
The update is not hugely significant; several improvements, fixes and the addition of AviTab compatibility form the update, but it does reassure us that Rotate still look after their MD-80.
The full update list is as follows:
- Added tablets and compatibility with AviTab.
- Improved autopilot trajectory precision, allowing RNAV procedures not available before.
- Improved compatibility with SmartCopilot plugin.
- Improved compatibility with hardware controllers.
- Improved auto brakes behavior during rejected takeoff procedure.
- Improved anti-ice system.
- Fixed CDT when running without audio hardware.
- Fixed a bug in CRZ page.
- Fixed sound error in outside views.
- Fixed minor errors in some manipulators.
- Fixed minor errors in some textures and animations.
Anyone who follows Rotate is most certainly aware of the MD-11 the team is currently working on. The team has spent years developing the aircraft, with the latest update shining a spotlight on the independent FMCs it will be bundled with.
Further information is available in the news article below.
The MD-80 has limited independent systems, but Rotate has said previously that V2 will be a significant update to the aircraft, and will follow the release of the MD-11.
The release note's for today's update is sourced from the product page at x-plane.org.
