ShortFinal Design Updates Salt Lake City to v1.5
MisterX6’s payware brand ShortFinal Design has updated their first scenery, Salt Lake City Airport (KSLC) to version 1.5, bringing the 2017 scenery up to modern standards with PBR ground texturing and SAM integration.
The update was first teased at the start of November 2019, with more images of the then in-progress feature addition. You can learn more about that in a previous article.
Notification of the update came via ShortFinal’s Facebook page, which current customers of the free update, and to future users of a 30% sale on now. Additional previews were also included and are spread throughout this article.
The feature list for version 1.5 of ShortFinal Design’s Salt Lake City is as follows:
- Added light spill to taxiway signs
- Added rain and snow effects on the ground
- Added SAM support with full custom jetways and DGS
- Added winter version (works with SAM seasons and TerraMAXX)
- Information boards now dynamically display time, pressure, temperature
- Replaced most vehicles with new PBR models
- Reworked all ground textures with PBR materials
- Reworked and down-scaled normal maps (better visuals, less VRAM usage)
