SimSolutions Previews the Piper J3 Cub for X-Plane 11
After the recent release of their DA40NG for X-Plane 11, SimSolutions has once again taken to the iniBuilds Youtube Channel to announce their newest aircraft for the simulator, this time with the Piper J3 Cub.
With the developer claiming the aircraft as a “ faithful rendition of the real aircraft,” the single-engine Piper is set to boast “high-resolution textures, accurate flight characteristics, and an accurately modelled airframe.” Furthermore, to cover the J3 Cub’s diverse flying capabilities, the piston airplane will release with three different configurations, including standard tires, tundra tires, and floats. Lastly, an extensive feature list was provided, which is viewable below.

- 4K PBR textures
- Functioning doors
- Removable cowling
- 6 instrument panel layout
- Custom FMOD Sounds
- Custom handheld radio
- AviTab integration
- Toggleable covers, ground clutter (Tent)

- Hand propping
Unfortunately, no release date was provided for the aircraft. However, it’s been confirmed that it will cost £12.99 GBP (plus tax).
