SimWorks Studios Announces the Zenith CH701 STOL for Microsoft Flight Simulator
December 5, 2020
SimWorks Studios have taken to their Facebook page to announce their newest aircraft in development for Microsoft Flight Simulator. The plane in question is the Zenith CH701 STOL, an ultralight airplane.
The CH701 is a well-known ultralight aircraft, capable of carrying up to two people. The airplane was first designed by Chris Heintz and is propelled by a singular Rotax 912ULS engine capable of 100 horsepower.
According to the developer, their recreation of the aircraft will feature a “highly detailed 3D model of the aircraft created by Kevin "Gibbage" Miller, accurate flight dynamics courtesy of Pam Booker and a bush trip to explore the aircraft's STOL capabilities.”
SimWorks Studios have confirmed the aircraft has entered testing and is hoping to release it around Christmas. The developer confirmed that the Zenith will be available on their own and Microsoft's stores. SimWorks is also hoping to get the aircraft available on other stores after the release.
