After releasing the BN-2B Islander in April of last year, TorqueSim is adding to their Islander line with the release of the BN-2T for X-Plane 11.

What was once a “simple conversion” of their existing BN-2 Islander, the Turbine variant has turned into a completely new aircraft with “updates to the 3d model, textures, texture mapping, FMOD sound pack, plugins, flight model, and additional small changes.” You can view the full feature list below.

The addition of a free military variant is also being included with the release of the aircraft, with the developer stating, “an automatic system is in place, any livery with 'MILITARY' in its name can get the military equipment to show, allowing community liveries to also make use of these extra objects.”

According to the developer, “many of the upgrades built for the 2T will also find their way into our BN-2 in the near future in the form of update 1.2.”
