Verticalsim Releases Provo Municipal Airport for MSFS
Verticalsim has recently released their rendition of Provo Municipal Airport (KPVU) for Microsoft Flight Simulator, serving the city of Provo in Utah with a yearly average of 145,000 passengers.
Originally an uncontrolled airport, its control tower was built in 2005, followed by major improvements to the terminal in 2011, bringing it up to the required standard to receive airline service.
After three years of work, a brand new passenger terminal was completed in 2022 at a total cost of $40 million. It has four gates and can be expanded to ten in the future. Allegiant has announced plans to open a four-aircraft base at the airport, with Breeze following suit. Both are the only airlines operating in Provo.
With two FBOs and a flight school, it’s also a significant regional general aviation airport.
The scenery features an accurate rendition of the airport, with a full 1:1 terminal interior, an up-to-date ground layout, high-definition PBR textures, custom orthophoto, and performance-friendly optimization.
It’s available on Verticalsim’s Shop for $14.99, requiring at least 1.89 GB of free hard disk space to install.
