As the year comes to an end, we have only a few No Money Mondays remaining. In this edition, we will explore the winter landscapes of Norway, focusing on the northern city of Bodø. We’ll take a look at Bodø Airport (ENBO) developed by WombiiActual for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and 2024.
Bodø Airport has a rich history. The city of Bodø began receiving postal flights in 1921, and seaplane service started in 1940. During the Second World War, the airport was established with its first runway. The civilian section of the airport officially opened in 1952. Over the years, various fighter jets have been stationed there. In 1990, a new terminal with 11 gates was opened. Currently, plans are underway for a new airport to serve the city, while the existing airport site will be transformed into a new smart city district. Each year, the airport accommodates approximately 1.8 million passengers. It serves airlines such as Norwegian Air Shuttle, Scandinavian Airlines, and Widerøe, providing destinations throughout Norway and Europe.
The freeware version of Bodø Airport includes features like 3D models, terraforming, a sloped runway, taxi signs, custom lighting, custom jetways, and more.
The freeware version of Bodø Airport is available for download on flightsim.to. If you haven't experienced the winter feeling yet, perhaps a flight to Bodø will evoke those winter vibes
