Freeflight

Welcome back to the weekly edition of No Money Mondays here at Threshold! This week, we're exploring Stavanger, the third largest city in Norway. WombiiActual initially released this airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator in 2020 and has been consistently updating this coastal airport since then.

Stavanger Airport, commonly known as Sola, is an international airport that opened in 1937. In 1940, a second airport, Stavanger Airport, Forus, opened as a military air base and was later used for offshore helicopters. However, the airport closed in 1989, leaving Sola as the only airport in Stavanger. Today, Sola is the third largest airport in Norway and the seventh largest in the Nordic countries, serving about 4.3 million passengers annually. The airport offers a wide variety of destinations, with a total of eleven airlines serving the airport.

Stavanger Airport comes with various features, including custom terminals, custom jetways, terraforming, ground clutter, accurate taxiways and parking stands, corrected runways and lights, and more.

So, don't hesitate to explore Stavanger Airport for yourself! You can find it at Flightsim.to.
